Dancing at Martinez next Sunday!

Catherine Clay O'Neal wrote to say that her husband Winston and The Nashville Sounds will be playing at Martinez Social Club next Sunday, August 17th, from 3-6:30pm.

The Nashville Sounds at Martinez Social Club

Our classmate Catherine Clay O'Neal sent a recent email letting us know the scheduled dates her husband Winston and his band The Nashville Sounds will be playing at Martinez in 2014.

So far we know they will be there on the following dates (with more to come):

Sunday, August 17th
Sunday, October 26th
Sunday, December 28th

The Nashville Sounds play good Texas honky tonk music and a few of our classmates usually turn out for their appearances at Martinez.

Catherine has promised to keep us posted if any additional dates are added.

I don't seem to be proficient enough using my Paint Shop Pro to be able to merge the two scans of the group photo so I'm giving up and posting it here in two sections. (Click on photos to enlarge.)

Update on Reunion Plans

The Reunion Committee will be sending information and reservation forms within the near future.  Once again, our 50th Reunion will be held at Martinez Social Club at 7791 FM 1346 just east of San Antonio on Saturday, October 19, 2013. 

A social hour will start at  5:00 P.M. and the meal, provided by Grady's Bar-B-Q, will be served at 6:00 P.M.  The price is $40.00 per person and dress is casual.  Music and entertainment will be provided by Country Tradition from  7:00 P.M. to 11:00 P.M.

RSVP deadline has been set for October 9, 2013 so please send your check or money order along with the  reservation form which will be included to Shirley May, 5437 Borchers Dr., San Antonio, TX 78219 and mark your calendar now so you don’t forget.
