More '63 Absentees Check In

Yesterday I received an email from Nanette Chopin Cook who was also unable to attend our 50th Reunion. She and husband Clay Cook who is also a Harlandale graduate are currently in Sierra Vista, Arizona for the winter.

Nanette found several pictures taken at Harlandale Jr. High which I will be adding to our "The Way We Were" page in the near future. She also included the photo of herself at left taken when she recently turned 69 on Halloween as well as the photo below taken on Clay's 68th birthday last year.

I hope Nanette and Clay enjoy a lovely winter in Arizona and are able to attend the next reunion whenever that may be.

More Photos on the Way

This morning I received emails from a 1963 graduate who attended the reunion via txt. Jay Holt's sister Helen from the Class of 62 was present and in the course of the evening took photos with her phone and texted them to Jay.

Since Jay hasn't been able to attend the last few reunions, he also sent his picture to share. How great to be able to have him participate in the reunion this way. He emailed the other pictures Helen took to me and I'll try to add them to our collection of photos before the day is over or tomorrow at the latest.

The pictures I've received thus far have been added to the page listed above as 2013 - 50th Reunion. Thanks so much to Shirley Moore May and Jimmy Heston for sharing all their wonderful photos taken at our 50th Reunion held at Martinez Social Club on October 19, 2013.

I don't seem to be proficient enough using my Paint Shop Pro to be able to merge the two scans of the group photo so I'm giving up and posting it here in two sections. (Click on photos to enlarge.)

Yesterday Shirley came over and brought the pictures she took at our 50th Reunion. Hopefully within the next couple of days, I'll be able to add them all to the blog. In the meantime, here's one of the Reunion Committee (Peggy Gundy Archer, Patty Peairs Miller, Shirley Moore May, Priscilla Pryor Garrett, Anita Palowski Roberts and Catherine Clay O'Neal) who put everything together.
